How to Create a QR Code

  1. Choose what the code is for. Pick Link or text, Phone, Email or Wi-Fi. Each option shows the fields you need.
  2. Fill in the details. The preview updates as you type.
  3. Adjust the look if you like. Choose the size, colours and error correction. Keep strong contrast — a dark code on a light background scans most reliably.
  4. Download. PNG is ready for documents, messages and social media. SVG stays perfectly sharp at any size, which is ideal for printing posters and packaging.

Before printing, test the code with two or three different phones from the distance people will actually scan it.

How does Felx QR Code Generator work?

A QR code stores data as a pattern of dark and light squares. The three large squares in the corners help a camera find the code and work out its angle, and the rest of the pattern holds your data plus extra “error correction” information.

Error correction lets a phone read the code even if part of it is dirty, creased or covered. Level M (about 15% recovery) suits most uses. Choose H (about 30%) if the code will be printed on something that may get damaged; the pattern becomes denser as a result.

Felx creates a static QR code: your link or text is stored directly in the pattern. There is no Felx redirect in between, so the code works forever, has no scan limits and does not track anyone who scans it. The flip side is that you cannot change where it points after printing — you would need to create a new code.

The code is generated in your browser. What you type is not sent to Felx servers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Felx QR codes expire?

No. The information is stored inside the code itself, so it keeps working as long as the link or details inside it are still valid.

Can I change the link after printing?

No. Static QR codes cannot be edited. If the destination might change, point the code to a page on your own website that you can update.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG for screens, documents and messaging apps. SVG for professional printing or anything larger than a postcard, because it stays sharp at any size.

Why will my QR code not scan?

Usually the contrast is too low, the colours are inverted (light code on dark background) or the code is printed too small. Keep it at least 2 × 2 cm and leave a blank margin around it.

How much text can a QR code hold?

Felx accepts up to 1,000 characters. Shorter content makes a simpler pattern that scans faster, so keep links short where you can.
