How to Convert PNG to JPG
- Choose one or more PNG files.
- Pick a background colour. JPG cannot be transparent, so any see-through areas are filled with this colour. White suits most documents and websites.
- Set the quality. 90% keeps images looking crisp while still giving a much smaller file than PNG.
- Select Convert to JPG and download each file or all of them as a ZIP.
If your PNG is a logo or icon that must stay transparent, keep it as PNG — or use the Image Compressor and choose WebP, which supports transparency.
How does Felx PNG to JPG work?
Felx paints your chosen background colour onto a canvas the same size as the image, draws the PNG on top, and saves the result as a JPG at the quality you selected.
Painting the background first matters. If a transparent PNG is converted without it, transparent pixels usually turn black, which ruins logos and screenshots with rounded corners. With Felx you decide what colour they become.
The width and height are not changed. JPG uses lossy compression, which is ideal for photographs and makes files much smaller, though very sharp text or line art can show slight softness at low quality settings.
The conversion runs in your browser. Your images are not uploaded to Felx servers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did my transparent background turn white?
The JPG format cannot store transparency, so those areas must be filled. White is the default; you can choose any colour before converting.
Will the JPG be smaller than the PNG?
For photos, almost always — often by 70–90%. For simple graphics with few colours, PNG can occasionally be smaller already.
What quality should I use?
Use 90% for screenshots and graphics with text, and 75–85% for photos.
Can I convert several PNGs at once?
Yes, up to 30 at a time. Download them individually or together as a ZIP.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything is done in your browser on your own device.
