How to Convert PDF to JPG

  1. Choose your PDF. Felx shows the number of pages once the file is loaded.
  2. Pick the image quality. Standard (150 DPI) suits screens, messages and social posts. High (300 DPI) is better for printing or zooming into fine detail, but files are larger.
  3. Optionally limit the pages. Leave the page box empty to convert everything, or type pages such as 1-3.
  4. Select Convert to JPG. Pages are converted one at a time with a live counter, and each appears as a thumbnail with its own download button. Use Download all (ZIP) to save every page at once.

How does Felx PDF to JPG work?

Felx uses PDF.js, the open-source PDF engine built by Mozilla for the Firefox browser, to draw each page onto an invisible canvas — exactly as a PDF reader displays it on screen. That drawing is then saved as a JPG image.

The quality setting controls the resolution. PDF pages are measured in points (72 per inch), so at 150 DPI an A4 page becomes an image of about 1240 × 1754 pixels, and at 300 DPI about 2480 × 3508 pixels. Very large pages are scaled down slightly if needed so they stay within the limits browsers place on image size.

To keep your browser responsive, pages are converted one after another rather than all at once, and the drawing work runs in a background thread. You can cancel at any time.

Your PDF stays on your device throughout. Nothing is uploaded to Felx servers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which quality should I choose?

Standard (150 DPI) is right for most uses, including WhatsApp, email and websites. Choose High (300 DPI) if you plan to print the images or need to read very small text.

Why is the background white when my PDF looked transparent?

JPG does not support transparency, so empty areas are filled with white — the same as a printed page.

Can I convert a PDF with hundreds of pages?

Yes, up to 300 pages in one go, but it takes longer and uses more memory. On a phone, convert large documents in smaller ranges such as 1-50, then 51-100.

Some text looks wrong in the image. Why?

Occasionally a PDF uses an unusual font that is not embedded in the file. The browser then substitutes a similar font. Opening and re-saving the PDF in another program usually fixes it.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Rendering happens in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
