This Privacy Policy explains how Felx (“Felx”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you visit felx.in and use our tools. We have tried to keep it short and plain.

1. Files you use with our tools

Our PDF tools (Compress PDF, Merge PDF, Split PDF, JPG to PDF, PDF to JPG) and image tools (Image Compressor, Image Resizer, JPG to PNG, PNG to JPG) process files inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your files are not uploaded to Felx servers by these tools. The file is read into the browser tab, processed on your device and offered back to you as a download. When you close or refresh the tab, the data is cleared from memory.

The QR Code Generator also runs in your browser. The text, links or Wi-Fi details you enter are not sent to us.

To run, the tools download program code (for example open-source PDF libraries) from our website. This is a normal web request and does not include your files.

2. Information we collect

Contact form

If you contact us, we receive the name, email address and message you submit. We use them only to reply to you and keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request. The form does not store messages in our website database; they are delivered to our mailbox.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information about requests to the site, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept for a limited period.

Analytics

We do not currently use a third-party analytics service. If we add one in future, we will update this policy before doing so.

3. Cookies and advertising

Felx is free and is supported by advertising. We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show ads.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where required by law — for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — we ask for your consent before personalised advertising cookies are used, through a consent message shown on the site. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy settings link provided by that message.

Apart from advertising, the website itself does not set tracking cookies for visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools will still work.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to run the site (our web host and email provider), with advertising partners as described above, or where the law requires it.

5. Children

Felx is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you — in practice, any message you sent through the contact form — by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU GDPR.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because our tools process files on your device, the strongest protection for your documents is that they are never sent to us in the first place.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
