Make a photo or signature fit the size limit of any online form – 10 KB, 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB or whatever the form asks for. Set the exact pixel size too, then download a JPG that uploads first time.

How to Reduce Photo Size in KB
- Choose your photo. Take it with your phone camera or pick a scan. JPG, PNG and WebP all work.
- Enter the maximum size. Tap 20 KB, 50 KB or another button, or type the exact number from the form’s instructions.
- Pick the pixel size if the form gives one. Use Exam photo (200 × 230 px), Signature (140 × 60 px), Passport (3.5 × 4.5 cm) or Custom. Otherwise keep the original size.
- Press Compress and download. Felx tries many quality levels and keeps the sharpest one that is still under your limit.
Always check the notification or prospectus of your exam: limits differ between SSC, UPSC, IBPS, railway and state recruitment boards, and they change from year to year.
How does Felx get a photo under exactly 20 KB or 50 KB?
The size of a JPG depends on two things: how many pixels it has and how strongly it is compressed. Felx first resizes your photo to the pixel size you chose, cropping from the centre if the shape is different, so your face or signature is not stretched.
It then saves the photo again and again at different JPG quality levels, using a quick “halving” search, and keeps the highest quality that is still below your limit. If you chose to keep the original size and even the lowest sensible quality is too big, Felx makes the photo slightly smaller in pixels and tries again.
Forms count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes, and some reject a file that is exactly on the limit, so Felx aims just below it. The result is always a JPG with a white background, which is what almost every application portal accepts.
Everything happens in your browser. Your photo, ID or signature is not uploaded to Felx servers.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reduce a photo to 20 KB for an SSC or railway form?
Choose the photo, tap 20 KB, select “Exam photo – 200 × 230 px” (or the size in your notification) and press Compress. Download the JPG and upload it to the form.
My form says the photo must be between 20 KB and 50 KB. What should I do?
Set the limit to 50 KB. If the result is smaller than 20 KB, choose a bigger pixel size (for example Passport or Custom 350 × 450 px) so the file has more detail and becomes larger.
How do I resize my signature to 10–20 KB?
Sign in black or blue ink on plain white paper, take a clear photo, then choose 20 KB and “Signature – 140 × 60 px”. Crop the photo close to the signature first for the sharpest result.
Will compressing make my photo blurry?
Felx keeps the highest quality that fits. Small limits such as 10 KB work best with small pixel sizes; a 4000-pixel phone photo squeezed into 10 KB without resizing would look blurry, so pick the pixel size your form asks for.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is processed on your phone or computer inside the browser and is never sent to Felx servers.
